Chairman Bevanda with German Bundestag Delegation

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda met in Sarajevo with members of the Sub-Committee on Civilian Crisis Prevention, Conflict Management and Integrated Action of the German Parliament (Bundestag), visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

The Bundestag Delegation was led by dr. Franziska Brantner, Chairwoman of the Sub-Committee and Bundestag Deputy from the Green Party.

Chairman Bevanda thanked to the FR Germany for the continuous assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially after catastrophic floods this May. He turned to recent general elections in BIH and expressed his content for they were held in a democratic atmosphere and without incidents. .Chairman Bevanda is hopeful that the Government will be formed soon and that BIH will move forward in a speeded fashion on its European path.

During the meeting they exchanged views of the current political situation in BIH and meeting of requirements form eth Road Map agreed in Brussels.

The Bundestag representatives stressed that they deal with civilian crisis prevention and with preconditions for creating a peaceful environment in the countries not in the focus of crisis point. They were interested for the challenges BIH meets on its way to the European Union, stating their commitment to support BIH on that way in future.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the FR Germany in BIH Cristian Hellbach.
