Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B-H Dr. Nikola Špirić received in Sarajevo today Chief of Mission of World Bank in B-H and Montenegro Anabela Abrea with her assistants. 

WB Chief of Mission Abreu informed Chairman Špirić of a discussion at the WB Board of Directors, when the 2012-2015 Partnership Strategy for B-H was adopted. Under the new Strategy the World Bank is to support reform processes in B-H in the area of B-H economy competitiveness improvement, welfare and inclusion of the most vulnerable categories of population and sustainable use of natural resources.

Chairman Špirić emphasised the importance of Cadastre Project aimed at securing more legal certainty and providing a relevant boost on the road to the EU.

The interlocutors discussed the implementation of 12 on-going WB projects in B-H. It was concluded that their implementation runs as planned, and that the placement rate in B-H is among the best in SEE, above European and Central Asian average.

Chairman Špirić informed the meeting of the status of the WB projects that are in the phase of acceptance and conclusion, and which are intended for the health sector improvement, water quality protection, and agriculture and rural development.

The Chairman of the Council of ministers of B-H informed the World Bank representatives that a session of the Fiscal Council scheduled for tomorrow will deal with the B-H Fiscal Balance and Policies Global Framework 2012-2014.
