Chairman of Council of Ministers of B-H Talks with IMF Mission Chief

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B-H Dr. Nikola Špirić talked in Washington today with IMF Mission Chief for B-H Costas Hristou. 

Chairman Špirić informed Mr. Hristou on the current political and economic situation in B-H.

IMF representatives were interested in the fate of the Stand-By Arrangement, as well as for the fiscal and economic stability and sustainability of B-H. IMF technical mission was agreed to visit B-H in November, to discuss 2012-2014 budget framework.

The interlocutors exchanged their opinions on the economic forecasts for 2012. Chairman Špirić said that the economic prognoses for the region, including B-H, are not quite optimistic, which implies a lot more conservative approach to state finances, and of which the Chairman has been warning for some time now.
