Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina dr. Nikola Špirić received in Sarajevo today Secretary General of OSCE Marc Perrin de Brichambaut.

Chairman Špirić stressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina recognises and appreciates the entire contribution of OSCE to development of democratic institutions in B-H.

In the context of current cooperation, Chairman Špirić highlighted the importance of OSCE’s cooperation with the Ministry of Civil Affairs, in education projects, and Ministry of Defence, in military warehouses arrangements, respectively.

They pointed out the relevance of the OSCE as a forum and organisation with its basic mandate merely suitable for early conflict prevention.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers stressed the readiness on the part of B-H to make an active contribution to early conflict prevention and neutralisation of situations that might give rise to conflicts geographically covered by this pan-European security body, especially taking account of its past experience of tragic conflicts in the country.

At the meeting they discussed also a need for a soon implementation of results of elections held in B-H in October 2010, and need for implementation of the Human Rights Chamber award in case “Sejdić and Finci v. B-H”.
