Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Vjekoslav Bevanda and Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in BIH Milan Cuc talked in Sarajevo on priorities of the new Council of Ministers of BIH. 

Chairman of the Council of Ministers Vjekoslav Bevanda underlined a need for an urgent adoption of the 2012-2014 Global Fiscal Framework and State Budget for 2012, and expressed his expectations that this task will be completed by the end of the first quarter of this year.

“Economic development and European integrations are two priorities of the Council of Ministers of BIH that will be taken into consideration in drafting of the 2012 Budget, which has to include some savings that we intend to implement in the coming period, especially in connection to the of rental of office space for Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, stated Chairman Bevanda stated.

IMF Resident Representative in BIH Milan Cuc expressed his pleasure with the urgent adoption of the State Budget for 2011, and with the announced priorities of the new Council of Ministers of BIH. He said that the IMF stands ready for a new arrangement with BIH should BIH authorities opt to seek assistance and prepare a clear economic strategy with defined policies and reforms to be implemented.

Extending congratulations to Chairman Bevanda for his appointment, the Resident Representative of the IMD in BIH Milan Cuc wished all success in the future work to the new Council of Ministers.

Chairman Bevanda thanked to congratulations and said that Bosnia and Herzegovina needs international institutions as powerful partners to create an atmosphere of favourable for new investments and job creation.
