Chairman Zvizdić Congratulatess to New Presidnet of Euroepan Comission

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić send a congratulations note to Ursula von der Leyen on the occasion of her election for President of the European Commission. 

“Dear President von der Leyen,

On behalf of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and my own, I offer to you sincere congratulations on the occasion of your election for President of the European Commission.

The primary foreign policy aim, with no alternative, of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the integration to the European Union. Bosnia and Herzegovina shares the same geographic space, same challenges and hopes. Therefore, I am particularly pleased for a person devoted to the strengthening of European values of unity, equality, solidarity, safety and prosperity came to the head of the European Commission.

In you address, you have set demanding goals. All the countries in the Western Balkans area expect the integration of our region to the European Union to remain among the important aims. We are looking forward to realising our future cooperation, and you may be confident that you will find in us, as it happened over the past four years, a genuine partner committed to accept European principles and standards, regional cooperation, peace, stability and economic development.

I wish you success in your work at the head of the European Commission, and invite you to pay your first visit rightly to Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the area of permeation of different cultural values.“, reads the congratulations note by Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić
