Chairman Zvizdić in Washington,, D.C. with IMF Officials

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić talked in Washington, D.C. with IMF Executive Director Menon Suel and Head of IMF Mission in BIH Nedeem Ilahi. 

Chairman Zvizdić said BIH is currently in the process of serious structural and economic reforms and that BIH wants to continue implementing its key sector reforms , which would contribute more substantially to strengthening of the financial stability.

They discussed the realisation of previous measures defined in a Letter of Intent with the IMF, of December 2015.

The meeting was especially focused to the BIH banking sector arrangement, transparency and effective cooperation between taxation administrations and other institutions win the banking and taxation systems. They agreed that it is very important for BIH to have financial stability, as well as increased transparency level with these institutions , adding that it would be a very strong message for future investors to BIH.

The meeting was attended by BIH Ambassador in the USA Haris Hrle and BIH Central Bank Director Senad Softić.
