Chairman Zvizdić in Washington with State Department Officials

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić met in Washington, in separate meetings, with Charles Kupchan, Director General for European Affairs with the US National Security Council and Deputy Assistant US Secretary of State Hoyt Brian Yee. 

He informed them of het process of fulfilment of requirements for membership in the European Union, level of realisation of MAP activation-related tasks and continuation of NATO integrations, as well as on the political and economic situation in BIH and the progress in realisation of the Economic Reform Agenda.

Chairman Zvizdić thanked for US support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, He briefed them of the progress to date in reform implementation.

Director Kupchan  and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Yee said the USA will continue supporting BIH in its demanding reform implementation tasks and that it is necessary to persevere the impetus BIH has on its Euro-Atlantic road.

Chairman Zvizdić said NIJH has fulfilled the major part of requirements for the Action Plan activation for NATO membership, and that he is hopeful  about the positive result from the Warsaw meeting.

The meetings were attended by BIH Ambassador in the USA Haris Hrle.
