Vijeće ministara Bosne i Hercegovine
Chairman Zvizdić thanked to Manager Leudesdorff for good previous cooperation, and welcomed the new Manager. He informed the visitors of the Council of Ministers priorities, namely, the European road, economy and rule of law, once again thanking to the KfW for they assistance and cooperation.
“Our already 20 year-long cooperation and about EUR 200 million project investments are the proof of our good cooperation, partnership and commitment of the Federal Republic of Germany to development of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, Chairman Zvizdić said at the meeting.
They exchanged views on future assistance, noting that their cooperation bears special significance for the overall socio-economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Director Leudersforff said that from year 2012 on the German Development Bank is engaged in cooperation in the renewable energy sector only, which classifies it in the B business group in BIH. Improvement of business environment - which would make the KfW ready to provide a firm support in order to promote the cooperation into the A business group - would mean opening of investment possibilities for other sectors, like agriculture, tourism, environmental protection, wood and metal processing industries and so on. He handed over to Chairman Zvizdić a KFW projects map for BIH.
Chairman Zvizdić said the energy sector is extremely important as it represents a comparative advantage and possibility for further investments, and that it is necessary to boost future SMEs development. He informed the meeting of intention to set-up an Economic Development Fund, which would move up entrepreneurship energy in BIH, on which he expects the KfW assistance.
They agreed that a dynamic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina and moving towards the European integrations are a good base for continuation of cooperation, and that KfW funds allocation in BIH is compatible with priorities the Council of Ministers has chosen to serve development purposes.
The meeting was attended by Mirsad Žiga, Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury of BIH.
