Chairman Zvizdić Talks with Director of Turkish Development Agency Huseyin Şanli

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić received Director of the Turkish Development Agency (TIKA) Huseyin Şanli. They discussed TIKA previous activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Chairman Zvizdić thanked for twenty year-long TIKA’s presence in BIH, for reconstruction of our cultural-historic heritage and for realisation of more than seven hundred projects in the area of agriculture, tourism, culture, education and others.

Director Şanli thanked for previous cooperation, saying that TIKA aims to promote activities and communication with the State-level Institutions and that it is active in preserving and protection of our cultural-historic heritage . He noted already started EUR 5 million worth reconstruction of the Mehmed-paše Sokolovića bridge in Višegrad, he said that Turkey has assisted 140 countries worldwide through its projects in the areas ranging from education to health and agriculture, pointing that it will continue with realisation of similar projects.

The meeting assessed that there is outstanding cooperation between the two countries, a readiness was expressed for its continuous enhancement through project implementation, od interest of BIH.
