Chairman Zvizdić Visits BIH Pavilion at Triennial in Milan

Chairman Zvizdić, together with Director Cancellato, visited the pavilion of BIH artists, situated at a presentational Pallazzo della Permanente, and took the opportunity to thank for a great assistance and extraordinary conditions enabling BIH to present itself in the best possible way.
“The Government of the Republic of Italy has invested over KM 100,000” to cover costs of rental of the exhibition space, security and maintenance of BIH pavilion items for which we are especially grateful”, Chairman Zvizdić said during the meeting with Director Cancellato.
He also said that the participation at this international exhibition of design, architecture and contemporary art is extremely important for BIH, emphasising significant possibilities for promotion of output of our contemporary designers. He noted the important presentation of BIH furniture producers, especially having regard of the furniture industry being the fastest growing industry in BIH, with a considerable share in total BIH export. He expressed his pleasure with the rate of visits to BIH pavilion, iterating that it is great hour for BIH to have its place at the event.
BIH artists’ presentation was titled “Contemporary Heritage”, and it expal8ins the very concept of BIH presentation at the Triennial presenting the tradition and preserving of cultural heritage in a new and original shape. Bosnia and Herzegovina is represented at the Fair by the Project under Biennial of Contemporary Art D-0 ARK Underground, Crafts from Konjuic, MA&Wood from Fojnica, and Artisan from Tešanj.
The theme of this year’s Triennial is the 21st Century – Design after Design, and it will include in the next four months relevant events, like summit of all design weeks organisers, furniture fair, the third world conference of all world triennials and biennials, as well as a meeting of all museum directors in the world.
The meeting of Chairman Zvizdić and Director Cancellato was attended by BIH Consul in Milan Igor Babić.
