Chairman Zvizdić Visits Svilaj Bridge Construction Site

Chairman Zvizdić said this is one of the most significant infrastructure projects, bearing a multiple importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“It is a facility connecting with Croatia and it will ultimately be one of the most important facilities on the Corridor V c, important for BIH from both regional and economic aspects, which will connect both Europe with BIH, as it will link Sarajevo with the Port Ploče. The 640 m long and 29 m wide bridge, with three lanes speaks of seriousness of the project, presenting the will and intention for development of economic and good neighbourly relations with the Republic of Croatia and further enlargement of transport infrastructure, as a basis for the improvement of entrepreneurial and economic life ”, Chairman Zvizdić emphasised.
He added that important works are to take place on the Gradiška Bridge, which will be a relevant infrastructure project, important for economic development, exchange and low of goods, capital and people. He stressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina has a comprehensive strategy in the sense of infrastructure development and arranging new border crossings having the European standards-adjusted infrastructure.
This facility in important for both Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, equally as it is important because of credibility of our country in relation to the European Union“, Chairman Zvizdić said.
He expected the Svilaj Bridge construction to be finalised and put in operation by the end of the year.
