Chairman Zvizdić with IMF Mission Chief in BIH Nadeem Ilahi

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić met in Sarajevo with Head of IMF Mission in BIH Nadeem Ilahi. 

They discussed the realisation of key prior measures required for continuation of talks on policies for conclusion of the first review within an Extended Arrangement between BIH and IMF.

Head of IMF Mission in BIH Ilahi commended the progress made by Bosnia and Herzegovina by the adoption of a set of legislation on excises. Chairman Zvizdić and Head of IMF Mission Ilahi agreed that it is the interest of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and also a precondition for economic development of the country. They are both hopeful about a soon adoption of the Law on Deposit Insurance in BIH, which will cause harmonisation of the banking sector with the relevant contemporary international standards.

The meeting was attended by IMF resident representative in BIH Francisco Parodi.
