Chairman Zvizdić with State Department Officials in Washington

Chairman of the Council of Ministers if BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić met at separate meetings in Washington with Dr Charles Kuochan, Special Assistant US President for Security Issues, Mark Tervakoski, Director of the National Council for Security for Balkans Region, and Matthew Palmer, Director of South and Central Europe Office, with whom he discussed the current economic and political developments in BIH. 

Chairman Zvizdić informed the State Department high officials of the current economic and political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as on the progress Bosnia and Herzegovina has made both in the European integration process and in regional cooperation. He stressed that the future of BIH leis with the European Union and that way has no alternative.

He pointed out that the United States of America are the one of the closest foreign—policy partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of the main friends to Bosnia and Herzegovina, who support BIH on its Euro integrations way.

The high officials of the State Department commended the progress BIH made over the past period of time, and underlined that they give a full support to its further NATO road, continuation of meeting requirements on the road to the European Union and peace strengthening in the region.

The meetings covered issues relating to an overall stability, regional cooperation, rule of law, fight against corruption and all forms of crime.

Chairman Zvizdić expressed his gratitude for the support the USA offer to Bosnia and Herzegovina in strengthening stability, democracy and prosperity in BIH and the Balkans.

The meetings were attended by BIH Ambassador in the USA Haris Hrle.
