Vijeće ministara Bosne i Hercegovine

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dr Denis Zvizdić met today, together with Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović and Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury of BIH Mirsad Žuga, with a delegation of the World Bank, led by Ellen Goldstein, Director of the World Bank for South-East Europe. 

They discussed the on-going implementation of Work Bank projects and on future cooperation.  Director Goldstein congratulated to the Council of Ministers of BIH for its reform programmes, expressing her satisfaction with the World Bank share in their realisation, adding that Bosnia and Herzegovina will be among first states where the so-called country diagnostics strategy will be applied.

Chairman Zvizdić said that BIH has realised the majority of assignments agreed at their previous meeting, mentioning the on-going debt management strategy development. He pointed that all available potentials of BIH should be put in function of economic development.  He said that the positive economic energy needs to be incorporated into new projects, and that a special attention should be paid to SMEs development in future period.

The also touched upon the mid-term fiscal policy issues, debt management and outstanding liabilities, in addition to health, welfare, pharmaceutical and pension sectors.

The meeting was attended by Tatiana Proskuryakova, Head of World Bank Office  for BIH and Montenegro.
