Chairwoman Krišto at 30th Plazma Youth Sports Games in Split

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Borjana Krišto met with organisers of the Plazma Youth Sports Ganes, in Split, on the eve of the opening of the Games.

They referred to the importance of the Youth Sports Games for sports development, promotion of healthy lifestyle and connection of children and youth from Bosnia and Herzegovina and from countries of the region.

Chairwoman Krišto underlined that the youth sports games are an example of an initiative which connects youth through sports, socialising and friendship for decades, creating a space for new acquaintances, togetherness and development of values of tolerance and fair play.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina highly regards the initiative for the Youth Sports Games, that have been organised for 16 years in numerous cities and municipalities of our country”, Chairwoman Krišto said.

She added that the 16th games in Bosnia and Herzegovina reconfirmed their value and great interest with young people.

“The sixteenth season in Bosnia and Herzegovina, supported by the Council of Ministers of BH by KM 200,000, gathered more that 1,800 participants at a grant finale, which proves best how such beautiful sports story started to live in our country, as well”, Chairwoman Krišto said.

Chairwoman Krišto attended the closing ceremony of the 30th season of the Plazna Youth Sports Games, where she met with numerous officials from sports and public life and sportspersons from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, region, and form other parts of the world.

She pointed out that events such as this one show the strength of sports to connect people, states and generations, in addition to offering young people a chance for socialising, competing and friendship building that goes beyond state borders.

The Chairwoman thanked to organiser for their diligent work and long-year contribution to development of sports and creation of opportunities for children and youth, adding that Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue supporting projects that contribute to connection of youth and development of society based on togetherness, mutual respect and equal chances.
