Chairwoman Krišto Sponsor of “HerzegOliveFest” Olive Growing and Olive Oil Production Festival

Chairwoman of the Council fo Ministers of Bosnia and Hrzegovina Borjan Krišto is a sponsor of “HerzOliveFest”  - HERZEGOVINA GOLDEN DROPS Olive Growing and Olive Oil Production Festival, taking place in Mostar for promotion of olive growing, olive oil and domestic production.

Chairwoman Krišto said it is a particular pleasure to be the sponsor of the event, which focuses at one od the most valuable potentials fo Herzegovina – olive and olive oil.

“Olive is much more than just an agricultural culture. It is a symbol of persistence, patience and connectedness of men with nature”, the Chairwoman said.

She underlined that the olive growing nowadays has a strong economic dimension, especially having regard of natural conditions of Herzegovina, knowledge and increasing number of high-quality producers showing that domestic products may successfully compete beyond Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A special value fo the festival in tis role as a gathering spot for producers, experts, representatives of relevant institutions and international actors, which opens the way for discussions on future of olive growing and olive oil production, including on possibilities of development of rural areas, tourism, gastronomy and economy in a whole.

“The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina remains dedicated to creation of better business and investment environment, boosting competitiveness of domestic production and stronger linking of agriculture, economy and tourism”, Chairwoman Krišto said.

She said she si confident that the “HerzOliveFest” will became a traditional place of meeting, promotion and connection of people whose work preserves tradition and simultaneously look towards future.

Chairwoman Krišto commended the organisers for the idea and effort to organise the festival, and wished to olive growing operators and olive oil producers a lot of successful harvests, supreme products and recognitions.

The “HerzOliveOil” Festival was declared open by Chaiwoman Krišto, who said that te festival is one more proof that the natural resources of Herzegovina, coupled with knowledge, work and commitment, are possible to yield top quality valuable products. (end)
