Chairwoman Krišto Met with Representative Trade Union Members

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto met with members of representative trade unions, among which the Trade Union of Civil Servants and Employees in Institutions of BIH, Trade Union of Police Bodies in BIH, and Trade Union of Indirect Taxation Administration of BIH. 

The meeting was held on the eve of the 57^th extraordinary session of the Council of Ministers of BH, which will consider a proposal decision on the level of basic salary of employees in the BIH Institutions, in addition to a proposal decision on the level of vacation allowances to employees in BIH Institutions for year 2026.

The trade unions representatives expressed their concern about the issue with the 2025 Budget, emphasising severe consequences to employees in BIH Institutions caused by the Budge adoption delay.

Chairwoman Krišto reminded at the role of the BIH Presidency as the institution proposing the Budget Law, emphasising that more than three months the Budget waits to be sent to the further procedure of adoption.

Krišto said she understands concerns by the Trade Union,s as well as the gravity of the situation, since the Budget adoption affects directly institutions stability and material-financial status of employees.

The meeting stressed readiness for further dialogue and cooperation with trade unions for the aim of improvement of work conditions for employees in Institutions of BIH.  (end)
