Chairwoman of Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto Signed Agreement with Frontex in Brussels

An Agreement with Frontex was signed in Brussels by Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto and Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Issues Magnus Brunner. 

Signing of the Agreement between the European Union and Bosnia and Herzegovina on operative activities implemented by the Agency for European Border and Coastal Guard  in Bosnia and Herzegovina is a breakthrough with multifaceted importance for the European road of BIH, since by the fulfilment of one of EU requirements, Bosnia and Herzegovina becomes a credible partner in securing the outer border of the EU, with its role in overall security architecture of the EU and European continent.

A bilateral meeting organised after the signing ceremony, Chairwoman Krišto and Commissioner Brunner discussed current security challenges in BIH and issues of illegal migrations, especially in our region and throughout South-Eastern Europe.(end)
