Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić was present at a solemn beginning of works on an inter-state bridge on the Sava River, near Svilaj. 

In his address at the ceremony, Chairman Zvizdić pointed out that this infrastructure project a symbolises clearly defined priorities of the Council of Ministers to up-grade cooperation with its neighbours, to substantiate it so that it could help create the prosperous future of the whole region of the South-East Europe, including of the European Union to which we strive and approach in an accelerated dynamics.

The corner stone, as a mark of the beginning of works, was laid by Minister of Communications and Transport of BIH Ismir Juskoand Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia Oleg Butković.

The bridge near Svilaj, 640 m long and 29 m wide, with three lanes for each direction, is a major infrastructure project at the Corridor V c to link motorway with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatian side of the River Sava. The project total value os EUR 22,308,000 (ex VAT), and the scheduled duration of the construction works is two years. The developers are Business Association Viadukt Stc. Zagreb and Hering Stc. Široki Brijeg.
