Consultations for World Bank Action Strategy for BIH

Chairman of the Council of Ministers od BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić and Deputy Chairman and Minister of Finance and Treasury of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda talked today in Sarajevo with Head of World Bank Country Office in BIH and Montenegro Tatiana Proskuryakova on a draft new Country Partnership Framework, which defines World Bank activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the next five years. 

Head of the WB Office for BIH and Montenegro Proskuryakova stressed that the World Bank starts broad consultations with BIH authorities for development of the new strategy for Bosnia and Herzegovina. She said that the aim of the World Bank is to arrive at a strategy, jointly developed with BIIH authorities, based on needs analyses, government plans and World Bank experiences.

Chairman Zvizdić welcomed Word Bank efforts, pointing out at already established partnership relationship through numerous on-going projects, which are very beneficial for Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasised that the partnerships Bosnia and Herzegovina develops with international institutions, capacitated with needed technical expertise, experience and funds, is the right way for economic healing of BIH.                                    (end)
