Council of Ministers in Extraordinary Session Several Resolutions Taken Aiming Flood-Affected Areas Rehabilitation

The Council of Ministers of BIH, at an extraordinary session held in Sarajevo today, granted a release from import duties and other indirect taxes all deliveries of international aid to BIH, sent after of floods which took place in BIH in May 2014, in accordance with Articles 9 and 10 of Addendum to the Law on Customs Policy in BIH.
Inspection authorities are responsible to step-up customs procedures and process the inspection control of humanitarian aid as a priority.
The Indirect Taxation Administration in BIH and authorised inspection offices will provide feedback information to the Council of Ministers on receipt of humanitarian aid items.
EMPLOYEES IN BIH INSTITUTIONS WILL RESERVE ONE PER DIEM FOR ASSISTANCE TO FLOOD-AFFECTED AREAS
The Council of Ministers of BIH took a Decision on collection of resources from payment od employee per-dimes in the BIH Institutions for assistance for rehabilitation from aftermaths of floods in May 2014.
The funds will be secured by reserving one per-diem from pay-checks in the Institutions of BIH for May 2014, which will secure about KM 2 million. Each employee in the BIH Institutions will sign for its per-diem transfer for humanitarian purposes.
The Council of Ministers of BIH will take a decision on allocation of these finances within 30 day from their collection.
CoM OPENS SPECIAL PURPOSE ACCOUTNS FOR AID FOR DAMAGE CAUSED BY FLOODS IN MAY 2014
The Council of Ministers of BIH, upon a proposal of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, made a conclusion to open special purpose accounts (both KM and foreign currency accounts) for collecting humanitarian assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, affected by floods in May 2014. The Council of Ministers of BIH will take special decisions on allocation of these funds.
TO GRANT COMMODITY FROM INDIRECT TAXATION ADMINISTRATION
The Council of Ministers made a conclusion on granting commodities, legally seized due to customs offences, and kept in warehouses of the Indirect Taxation Administration of BIH for the purpose of extending aid for rehabilitation from aftermaths caused by floods in May 2014.
The Indirect Taxation Administration is tasked to prepare, within a 5-day deadline, a specification of permanently seized commodities so that the Entity and Brčko District Civilian Protection Units would be able to show interest for the grant in commodities available.
This conclusion will be in implementation until July 1 this year, and the Indirect Taxation Administration will inform subsequently the Council of Ministers of BIH thereof.
The Indirect Taxation Administration will, according to expressed needs by Entity and Brčko District Civilian Protection Units grant funds, to the Federal and Republika Srpska Civilian Protection Units 45 per cent each, and to Brčko District Civilian Protection Unit in 10 per cent share.
MINUTE OF SILENCE FOR FLOOD VICTIMS
The Council of Ministers of BIH started its extraordinary session by a minute of silence, thus paying tribute to victims of catastrophic floods which took Bosnia and Herzegovina. The next session the Council of Ministers will be held tomorrow, on May 20, 2014.
