Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BH Dr Denis Zvizdilć received in Sarajevo newly-appointed Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Miro Kovač, with whom he discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s road to the European Union.

Chairman Zvizduć and Minister Kovač agreed that the bilateral relations between BIH and the Republic of Croatia are good, still with a space for strengthening of cooperration.

Chairman Zvizidć informed Minister Kovač of the results achieved  and progress made within the European integrations process. He stressed the importance of regional cooperation, saying that the good neighbourly relations in countries of the Wester Balkans region are extremely important for development and cooperation.

They agreed to start preparations for the first joint session of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, suggesting Sarajevo as the venue of the session.

Minister Kovač said that BIH is among top foreign policy priorities of the Republic of Croatia, and that a decision of the new Government is to make cooperation with the neighbouring countries better and of higher quality, emphasising that rightly for that reason Bosnia and Herzegovina was chosen for the first foreign destination, after formation of the Government.

He said that the Republic of Croatia will be a strong partner to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European way.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in BIH Ivan del Vechio.
