Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda received in Sarajevo today Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in BIH Nigel Casey with whom he discussed the current political situation in BIH and priorities of the new Council of Ministers.
Ambassador Casey congratulated, on behalf of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, to Chairman Bevanda for his appointment and handed over written message of congratulations of Prime Minister David Cameron. He said that the appointment of Chairman Bevanda and verification of the new Council of Ministers in the House of Representatives of the BIH Parliament has brought in a new optimism concerning the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European way.
Chairman Bevanda informed Ambassador Casey of the priorities of the Council of Ministers, stressing the importance of a soon finding solution to the issues of the 2012 Budget and adoption of the 2012-2014 Global Fiscal Framework. Chairman Bevanda said that this positive work atmosphere within the Council of Ministers of BIH should be used for accelerating of the activities concerning Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European integrations and strengthening of its economy.
The meeting exchanged views on IPA Funds programming for 2012, and assessed jointly that it is one of the core priorities for establishment of credible relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union.
