Meeting of Chairman of Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda and Ambassador of Russia in BIH Aleksandar Bocan-Harčenko

The interlocutors stressed a need for extended bilateral cooperation, especially in the area of economy. Expectations were vowed that the new Council of Ministers of BIH will create a conductive environment for dealing with open economic issues, which would create conditions for new Russian investments in BIH, especially in the energy sector.
Chairman Bevanda expressed his conviction that the new Council of Ministers of BIH will use its own capacities, within its competences, to make Bosnia and Herzegovina on its Euro-Atlantic way a more stable and open country for foreign investment. He added that, based upon its internal agreements and mutual consideration, the Council of Ministers of BIH will be a vehicle if improved cooperation in the region and development of economic relations, with the Russian Federation, as will all other friendly countries.
A joint conclusion was that the BIH Institutions need a soon implementation of an agreement by six political parties’ leaders, and that the adoption of the Law on Census of People and Households in BIH by the House of Peoples of the Parliamentarian Assembly of BIH, finalisation of activities concerning adoption of the Law on State Aid, as well as up-coming appointment of the Council of Ministers of BIH will create an opportunity for a new step forward of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Ambassador of the Russian Federation conveyed congratulations to Chairman Bevanda for the appointment and wished him success in his work.
Chairman Bevanda thanked to congratulations and expressed his gratitude for the support of the Russian Federation being extended to date to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
