Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Šarović held a meeting with Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and Special Representative, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark



Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Šarović met in Sarajevo with the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and Special Representative of the EU, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark

On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, the meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Mato Franjičević and Assistant Minister Dragiša Mekić, and on behald of the EU Delegation, Head of Cooperation Malvin Asin and Head of Political and Economic Section Jan Snaidauf.

Minister Šarović welcomed Ambassador Wigemark and stressed that in the future he expects strong support of the Delegation to BiH's path towards the European Union. The Minister informed Ambassador Wigemark of the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations and the Council of Ministers of BiH and expressed his commitment to address the issues within the competence of the Ministry, among wich the priority is facilitating export of milk and other products to EU countries, namely the adoption of regulations that are necessary to achieve these goals.

Ambassador Wigemark welcomed the decision of 21 April 2015 to activate the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, which comes into force on 1 June 2015 and said that the EU has a strong interest in resolving issues of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Other areas and priorities of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH for the current year were also discussed at the meeting.
