Minister Špirić Receives Ambassador of People’s Republic of China in BIH



Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Minister of Finance and Treasury dr. Nikola Špirić met in Sarajevo with Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in BIH Dong Chunfeng.

The meeting assessed that bilateral relations between the two countries are good, and that more should be done towards the improvement of the economic cooperation between BIH and China, whose investors are interested for making investments to BIH, especially in the energy sector.

Minister Špirić emphasised that it is necessary to create an ambience conducive for foreign direct investment attraction to BIH, and that the competent Ministries should create formal-legal preconditions for making the economic cooperation more effective.

The Minister of Finance and Treasury of BIH stressed that it is an encouraging fact that the BIH Fiscal Council has adopted the 2014-2016 Global Fiscal Framework, which creates presumptions to move on now to the 2014 Budget adoption procedure both at the Entity level and the BIH level.

Minister Špirić reminded that this year’s Budget was the first one to be adopted considerably before its adoption deadline, which contributed to fiscal stability, so the same expectations will accompany the adoption of the 2014 Budget.
