Minister Špirić Receives in Farewell Visit Russian Ambassador Bocan-Haračenko

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Minister of Finance and Treasury dr. Nikola Špirić received in a farewell visit Ambassador of the Russian Federation in BIH Aleksandar Bocan-Hračenko.
Minister Špirić thanked to Ambassador Bocan-Haračenko for his dedicated work during his five-year diplomatic mission in BIH, and pointed that he has been a diplomat ready available to take effort at any time towards the cooperation and enhancement of friendly relations between BIH and Russia.
As a sign of good cooperation and memory to his diplomatic mission in BIH, Minister Špirić presented to Ambassador Bocan-Haračenko a painting with motifs of the Old Orthodox Church in Sarajevo, hoping that the Ambassador would be visiting BIH in future, where he would be gladly welcomed.
The interlocutors exchanged views of the current developments after devastating floods which hit BIH this May, and on preparations for a follow-up donor conference, aimed to assist effective recovery of flooded areas.
Minister Špirić thanked to Ambassador Bocan-Haračenko to a valuable assistance coming from Russia in the most difficult days to citizens affected by floods.
The meeting emphasised the necessity of continued joint efforts of responsible Ministries of BIH and Russia on preparation of a double taxation avoidance agreement, which is an important move in promotion of business cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting stressed that it is important to work on finding best solutions for the clearing debt, where relevant discussions involve representatives of Entity Governments; one among topics concerned the “South-Steam” Project.
Ambassador Bocan-Haračenko thanked to Minister Špirić for the successful cooperation he enjoyed during his term in BIH, and said his wish that challenges slowing-down the advancing of BIH be soon addressed.
