Minister Špirić Talks with Italian Ambassador in BIH



Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Minister of Finance and Treasury dr. Nikola Špirić met in Sarajevo with newly-appointed Ambassador of Italy in BIH Ruggero Corrias.

The meeting discussed the current political developments in BIH, effects of the economic crisis faced by the European Union countries, and obligations of BIH within its European integrations process.

Minister Špirić noted the improved economic indicators for the first half of the current year and the adopted Global Fiscal Framework for 2014-2016, which created an opportunity for timely adoption of Entity and State Budgets for 2014.

The meeting agreed that it is important to strike an agreement within BIH concerning the implementation of the European Court for Human Rights ruling on ‘Sejdić-Finci’ case, including an agreement on EU Coordination Mechanism.

Good bilateral relations were emphasised at the meeting, and that the friendly relations between BIH and Italy should be improved also though economic cooperation.
