Minister Špirić talks with Russian Ambassador in BIH



Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Minister of Finance and Treasury dr. Nikola Špirić received today Ambassador of the Russian Federation in BIH Aleksandar Bocan-Harčenko.

The meeting discussed, among other things, the current political and economic situation and progressing of BIH along the EU path.

The meeting agreed that the bilateral relations between the two states are good, but that the cooperation between BIH and Russia needs to improve through conclusion of certain inter-governmental agreements, In that regard, it was emphasised that a Double Taxation Avoidance Contract between BIH and the Russian Federation should be prepared, in addition to Mutual Investment Protection Agreement.

Minister Špirić underlined readiness of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BIH and other BIH Institutions to develop and send for adoption those treaties which would further improve relations between the two countries.

The meeting also discussed the problem of clearing debt of the former SSSR.
