Chairwoman of Council of Ministers Borjana Krišto Opens “Days of Transplant Medicine in BIH” Symposium in Mostar

Chairwoman of the of Bosnia and Herzegovina Borjana Krišto opened today a two-day Expert Symposium “Days of Transplant Medicine in BIH” in Mostar, which gathers both domestic and foreign experts in transplant medicine, immunogenetics and donors

In her address, the chairwoman pointed out at the importance of donorship and transplantation, as one of the most generous forms of social solidarity, giving hope and new opportunity for life. She highlighted that the importance of the event surpasses its expert and organisational framework, commending organisers for devoted and accountable work in health care.

Speaking on further development of transplantation medicine in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the chairwoman addressed the importance of international cooperation, exchange of expert knowledge and experience, and application of good practice from countries with developed and successful transplantation programmes.

She said she is convinced that the symposium would be a place fo high quality expert dialogue and exchange of knowledge at the highest level, as it would be an additional incentive to further development and advancement of transplantation system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the end of her address, the Chairwoman wished all the participants successful work and pleasant stay in Mostar. (end)
