Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B-H Dr Nikola Špirić received today representatives of civil society in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

At the meeting, the parties discussed further cooperative actions under the Cooperation Agreement between the Council of Ministers of B-H and NGO Sector in B-H, which represent the institutional and legal framework for the civil society development.

 

The civil society representatives informed the Chairman of the activities being undertaken from their part to form a Committee for Cooperation with Civil Society under the Council of Ministers.

 

Chairman Špirić said that NGO representatives should appoint their legitimate representative mandated to speak on behalf of the whole of B-H NGO sector.

 

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers expressed his full commitment to have NGO sector representatives involved through the Committee into development of all Council of Ministers strategic documents, especially those relating to the B-H EU integration process.

 

Chairman Špirić stressed the need for achieving a synergy between authorities and NGO sector in order to realise the desired progress in an as effective as possible fashion.

 

Špirić also called upon NGO sector representatives to facilitate efforts towards the building-up the inevitable level of dialogue, because any progress would not possible without learning to regard and listen to each other.

 

The meeting was attended by Goran Bubalo (NGO Council), Slavica Drašković (SIPU), Mila Mirić (ICVA) and Slaviša Prorok (CPCD Sarajevo).
