Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B-H Dr Nikola Špirić received Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Bosnia and Herzegovina Procopius Manzouranis.

At the meting they discussed the efforts B-H makes to both fulfil its commitments from the Road Map for the EU visa liberalisation for citizens of B-H and overcome challenges to getting closer to the EU and NATO, with a special accent on readiness of Greece to support Bosnia and Herzegovina in its Euro-Atlantic integration processes.

Ambassador Manzouranis conveyed to Chairman Špirić concerns by Greek Foreign Minister over frequent writings in B-H media in which Greece is attempted to be presented in a negative context.

Chairman Špirić stressed that on its way to EU Bosnia and Herzegovina needs friends, and one among them is certainly Greece, which has invested considerable resources for reconstruction of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a whole, and which sincerely supports Bosnia and Herzegovina in its Euro-Atlantic integration efforts.

Špirić invited media and public to help Bosnia and Herzegovina by promoting in a most sincere way the friendship between B-H and Greece.

Chairman Špirić said that some writings, which negatively portray individuals from this country, must not harm very good bilateral relations and must not produce animosity towards staff of the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic and other citizens of Greece living in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The interlocutors expressed mutual belief that careless moves by individuals cannot and will not hamper very good relations between two countries.
