Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B-H Receives EU Commissioner for Consumer Protection

Chairman of the Council of ministers of B-H Dr Nikola Špirić received EU Commissioner for Consumer Protection Meglena Kuneva. At the meeting they highlighted the importance of the consumer protection aimed at health protection, security and consumer economic interest protection. 

Chairman Špirić explained that possibilities for non-government organisations to enjoy an institutional cooperation with the Council of Ministers of B-H are provided  by signed-to Cooperation Agreement.

 

B-H level institutions that deal with the consumer protection are B-H Ombudsman for Consumer Protection and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Division for Market Supervision, Consumer Protection and Competition.

 

Chairman Špirić briefed Kuneva of the current political situation in B-H, in the context of B-H Euro-Atlantic prospects.

 

The meeting was attended by Head of the Delegation of European Commission in B-H Dimitris Kourkoulas.
