Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B-H Dr. Nikola Špirić received in Sarajevo representatives of the Association of Families of Missing Persons Regional Coordination Committee from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.

Chairman Špirić and the Association representatives discussed the way of faster solving the issue of all missing persons.

Committee representatives briefed the Chairman of the Association operations and the challenges faced by the families searching for their missing relatives.

Chairman Špirić expressed his support to the Association activities. Špirić stressed that the solution to this issue is essential for the future, reconciliation and development of democratic society.

The meeting especially highlighted the importance of the exchange of documentation, which pertains to the suffering of and search for the missing persons between the counties of the region.

It was jointly assessed tat the associations gathering the families of the missing persons must not be used as a service to different political factions, instead they should be viewed merely as a strong incentive factor of faster solving this issue.

The meeting was attended by Milan Mandić from the Association of Families of Imprisoned and Missing Persons of Republika Srpska (East Sarajevo), Nura Begović from the “Srebrenica Women” Association (Tuzla), Semina Aleksić from the “Vrbanja” Organisation of Families of Sehids, Imprisoned and Missing Persons (Travnik), Čedomir Marić from the Association of Families of Missing and Deceased Persons in the Krajina in Croatia (Belgrade), and Ljiljana Alvir from the Association of Families of Imprisoned and Missing Croatia Soldiers (Zagreb).
