Signed Agreement between Government of People’s Republic of China and Bosnia and Herzegovina on Cooperation in Area of Animal Health and Quarantine

A Contract between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Cooperation in the Area of Animal Health and Quarantine was signed today, at the margins of the 7th Summit of Prime Ministers of the Central and Eastern European countries and People’s Republic of China (16+1), in the presence of Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić and Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang. 

The contract was signed by Deputy Chairman and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BIH Mirko Šarović and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China Han Changfu.

The Contract provides for the contracting parties to accept the “One World, One Health” Concept, and establish mechanisms in the area of cross-border control of animal diseases. BIH and China oblige themselves under the Contract to facilitate cooperation in management, science and technology and to exchange information on trade with animals and products of animal origin.

The authorities responsible for the Contract implementation iare the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations and BIH Veterinary Office, and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of General Customs Administration of the People’s Republic of China.
