The sixth session of the State Committee for Investments, held today in Sarajevo, considered an BIH application for WBIF+ investment projects co-financing, under the First Call.

The session was held in an extended attendance for the first time, which included representatives of the EU Delegation in BIH, bilateral donors and IFIs, taking part in the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF).

At the session, the donors were presented the status of development of state strategies in transport, energy and environment sectors, with lists of priority projects and progress report on the so-called “soft measures” implementation, agreed at the Western Balkans Summit in Vienna last year, which should be realised until the follow-up Summit in Paris, this June.

Chairman Zvizdić, Minister Šarović and Deputy Minister Dalipagić said that transport infrastructure, energy and environmental protection projects attained a high level of applicability and realisation.

Chairman Zivzidć was hopeful that BIH would manage to realise all its obligations until the Paris Summit, emphasising the importance of contribution of all the European Union members, bilateral donors and banks, participating in mentioned projects.

“Investments are extremely important and needed to our country. Realisation of the projects inter-connecting the Western Balkans region  are the best and most long-term investment into peace and prosperity of the region” , chairman Zvizdić said.
