To Improve cooperation in Implementation of Joint regional Housing Programme

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda and Minister for Human Rights and Refugees of BIH Damir Ljubić talked in Sarajevo today with Prime Minister of Serbia Ivica Dačić. 

On this occasion, Minister Ljubić informed the Prime Minister on the implementation of projects within the Regional Housing Programme, which presumes joint efforts towards closing of a chapter of long-time displacement. Since BIH, Croatia, Serbia and Monte Negro are partner countries in the Programme, the interlocutors pledged their full support to cooperation, and assessed this project to be of importance for the region.  

 

Minister Ljubić said it is necessary to expedite the project implementation, especially in view of the purpose of the Regional Housing Programme to provide permanent and sustainable hosing solutions for about 74,000 individuals or 27,000 households.

 

Chairman Bevanda and Prime Minister Dačić concluded that there are a large number of persons throughout the region who are still displaced and that a continuous cooperation needs to be ensured in order to implement the Joint Regional Housing Programme faster and more effectively.
