Zvizdić – Asaf: To Solve Palestinian Issue within International Law

Chairman Zvizdić informed WAFA President Assaf of the Council of Ministers work priorities, specifying the European integrations, economic development and strengthening of security and rule of law. He stressed that a considerable achievement was made across all segments, which resulted in the submission of application for the EU membership. He added that he expects considerable breakthroughs by the end of this year towards NATO membership.
WAFA President Assaf briefed Chairman Zvizdić of current developments as to the peace process and the so-called French Initiative, sponsored by the Euroepean Union and supported by the Arab League countries and IOC, which presumes holding a new peace process meeting devoted to solving of the “Palestinian Issue”.. He added that the aim of the Initiative is to set-up a Peace Process Committee supposed to solve the relations between the two state Palestine and Israel in a reasonable time span, based on international law and existing UN resolutions.
Chairman Zvizdić said BIH supports solutions based on the international legal order and UN resolutions in effect. He added that citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are true friends of Palestine.
WAFA President Assaf said it is the interest of the Palestinian state for the peace process to get internationalised and solved within the international law. He condemned any misuse of suffering of the Palestinian people in justifying terrorist and extremist actions.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the State of Palestine in BIH Rezeq Namoora and FENA manager Faruk Borić.
