Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH dr. Denis Zvizdić and Ambassador of the Republic of France in BIH Claire Bondonui talked in Sarajevo today on improvement of economic relations between the two friendly countries and cooperation at the international scene. 

Chairman Zvizdić said that the new Council of Ministers od BIH must focus to the European integrations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and economy, primarily as concerns the improvement of business environment, in order to incite new investments and create new jobs. He noted the commitment of our country to MAP and further progressing towards a full membership in NATO.

He thanked to French assistance during last year’s floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina and for continued support in the European integrations process.

According ot Chairman Zvizdić, the Council of Ministers of BIH and Entity Governments prepare socio-economic reform plan targeting improvement of competitiveness of BIH economy and improvement of living standard of BIH citizens. He stressed that the future strategic approach is focused on sectors of road infrastructure, energy, agriculture, environment and tourism, and welcomed French investors.

The meeting agreed that good cultural cooperation between the two countries is easy to shift to tourism, sports and education, and that BIH should seek its chance also in the area of agriculture.

Ambassador Bodonui congratulated to Chairman Zvizdić for his appointment and informed him of preparatory activities undertaken by the Embassy of the Republic of France in BIH for organisation of the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival – EYOWF in 2017, which would be financially supported by the Council of Ministers of BIH.

Chairman Zvizdić noted determination of Bosnia and Herzegovina for improvement of regional and European security, emphasising unreserved support of BIH in combating against all forms of crime with an accent to terrorism.
