Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić met in Sarajevo with Samuel D. Brownback, US Ambassador with the State Department responsible for religious freedoms issues, and informed him of the current developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Chairman Zvizdić said Bosnia and Herzegovina is a multi-cultural and multi-religious and that the struggle to preserve these values and togetherness has never been more topical. He said that the human rights and freedoms violation is evident and that it cannot be tolerated or justified.

Ambassador Brownback said the USA supports religious freedoms and emphasised that the faith is a driving force for well-being and approximation of people. He said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is an example of co-existence and tolerance, and way how different religions may live and cooperate.

The agreed that it is necessary to work on a long-term reconciliation and insist on religious freedoms for everyone.

The meeting was attended by US Ambassador in BIH Eric Nelson.
