Zvizdić – Corrias: We Sympathise with Citizens of Italy and Offer Support for Mitigating Aftermaths of Catastrophic Earthquake

On the occasion of a series of catastrophic earthquakes, which hit the central Italy, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić talked today in Sarajevo with Ambassador of the Republic of Italy in BIH Ruggero Corrias, taking the opportunity to reiterate his words of support and sympathies with the Italian people. 

Chairman Zvizdić said that if it turns out needed, Bosnia and Herzegovina is ready prepared to send the assistance in terms of educated special teams for action in such conditions, so as to help mitigate aftermaths of the earthquake.

Ambassador Corrias thanked to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina for their support, saying that the Italian authorities take efforts to rescues as many as possible human lives and to bring life to normality as early as possible.

“We felt and saw the solidarity of the whole of BIH. I want to than one again to your citizens for their words of encouragement. These re the genuine signs of friendship”, Ambassador Corrias said during the meeting with Chairman Zvizdić.

Chairman Zvizdić also briefed Ambassador Corrias of the current political situation in BIH, and expressed his concern for the announced holding of a referendum in the Entity of Republika Srpska. He expressed hi sis expectation that tomorrow’s decision of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) will be for the benefit of protection of the Constitution of BIH and Dayton Peace Agreement stipulations.
