Zvizdić – Grabar-Kitarović: Croatia to Strongly Support Bosnia and Herzegovina on Its Way to EU

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizidć me at the margins of the 52nd Munich Security Conference with President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, where they discussed the improvement of bilateral, particularly, economic cooperation. 

Chairman Zivzidć informed President Grabar Kitarović of the implementation of the requirements BIH was supposed to fulfil so that it would be able to fill an application for membership in the European Union. He said that the Council of Ministers suggested to the BIH Presidency a negotiating position of BIH in relation to an adjustment of the Stabilisation and Accession Agreement.

President Grabar-Kitarović said that Croatia fully supports the European and NATO road of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and highlighted the importance of breakthroughs BIH takes on its way towards the European Union. She said the stalemate has lasted for considerable time and that BIH will have to catch-up with its neighbours. President Grabar-Kitarović stresses that Croatia had passed the same road and that it will make its resources available so as to help Bosnia and Herzegovina through its experience and political support.

Chairman Zvizidć said that reasons are many for the two Governments to hold a joint session, and expressed his hope that Prime Minister Orešković will choose rightly Bosnia and Herzegovina for his first official visit abroad.
