Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić received in Sarajevo Federal Minister for Europe, Integrations and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria Sebastian Kurz. 

They discussed improvement of cooperation in the area of economic, cultural, education and partner relations, in addition to the European perspective of BIH and the Western Balkans countries, on which occasion Chairman Zvizdić said that BIH is firmly dedicated for the European and NATO integrations path.

They agreed that the bilateral relations between BIH and Austria are good, but still can be improved.

Minister Kurz said that a number of Austrian businessmen operate in BIH and that he expects increased number of companies wishing to come, which suggests at the interest of Austrian investors to invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Chairman Zvizdić said that BIH citizens necessitate more favourable SMEs loans in order to employ young and educated people. He said that the Council of Ministers of BIH works hard to improve business climate and that reforms aim, among other things, to improve  the relationship towards foreign investors.

The discussed the up-coming summit of the Western Balkans Prime Ministers, to be held in Vienna on August 27, 2015, which will be devoted to regional cooperation and infrastructure projects. The summit will be the follow-up of last year’s Berlin summit.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Austria in BIH Martin Pammer.
