Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizidć talked in Sarajevo with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations of Monte Negro Igor Lukšić on bilateral relations and cooperation within the Euro-Atlantic integrations. 

In that context, an initiative of Chairman Zivzdić was welcomed for holding of a joint session of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Government of Montenegro, on which occasion, signing of several agreements would concretise cooperation between the two countries in different areas.

Chairman Zvizdić congratulated to Minister Lukšić for invitation for NATO membership, emphasising that the membership of Montenegro in this military alliance would have positive repercussions to neighbouring countries in view of security and foreign direct investment inflow.

Priorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina are the European integrations, MAP activation and economic development, Chairman Zvizvić said, stressing that Bosnia and Herzegovina will apply for membership in the European Union as early as the next year.

Minister Lukšić said that on its road of Euro-Atlantic integrations, BIH may expect a full support of Mont Negro, and he also congratulated for the European Commission positive progress report on BIH.

The interlocutors assessed that the relations between the two countries are in the up-ward trend, noting examples of several agreements, namely, on border, co-location of diplomatic-consular offices abroad and cross-border cooperation.

During the meeting, they discussed transport and energy connectedness projects, and Chairman Zvizdić noted the relevance of the Adriatic-Ionian motorway and Adriatic-Ionian gas pipeline for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
