Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić and his Deputy, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BIH Mirko Šarović met today in Sarajevo with the delegation of the People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of the People’s Republic of China, led by its Vice-President Ma Peihua, who passed to Chairman Zvizdić regards from Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang. 

They discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.  They agreed that the relations between BIH and China are good and friendly, and expressed their readiness to up-grade and enlarge them.

They discussed realisation of major economic projects, as well as continuation of cooperation in specific sectors, such as economy, agriculture, education, culture and tourism. They expressed their confidence that the future an increased trade exchange should be strived to in the future period of time. Discussed was also the importance of Single Belt – Single Road Initiative, emphasising the need for the improvement of cooperation within China + 16 format.

Chairman Zvizdić said the procedure for lifting visas for Chinese citizens is in its final stage, and that Bosnia and Herzegovina plans to host a conference on tourism in the period to come, to be attended by Ministers of Tourism from China + 16 countries.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in BIH Chen Bo.
