Zvizdić – Plenković Meeting

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić met in Dubrovnik with the host of the 8th Summit of Leaders of the Central and East Europe and China (16+1), President of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković, with whom he discussed bilateral and regional cooperation. 

Chairman Zvizdić said the relations of the two countries are very good and friendly, however with certain areas and issues requiring more political will in order to address them to mutual satisfaction and more relaxed relations in the region. He stressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina is opted for strengthening of good neighbourly relations, having regard of all rules of internal and international rights and sovereignty of their neighbours. As a positive example to followed, Chairman Zvizdić mentioned the successful solving of state border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Chairman Zvizdić said that the countries of the region have to cooperate in a higher quality fashion in order to use better the potentials and opportunities opened by the “One Belt – One Road” Initiative to improve communication infrastructure in the region and accelerate economic development.

Chairman Zvizdić thanked to Prime Minister Plenković and the government of the Republic of Croatia for sincere welcome and extraordinary organisation of this year’s Summit in Dubrovnik.
