Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić talked today in separate meetings with US Ambassador in BIH Maureen Cormack and Head of the EU Delegation in BIH Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Chairman Zvizdić reiterated the commitment of the Council of Ministers of BIH to reform processes a, as the only way forward to accelerated economic development and improvement of living standard of BIH citizens. He stressed that the Euro-Atlantic integrations remain the primary foreign policy aim of our state, and the on-going reform processes as the way to achieve it. He added that Bosnia and Herzegovina has already made an important breakthrough on that road by handing over its answers to the EC Questionnaire, and that he expect soon activation of MAP for NATO membership, which would send a substantial message to potential investors that Bosnia and Herzegovina is the stable and safe country, worthily to invest in. he briefed the Ambassadors of the Council of Ministers’ activities concerning the up-coming Summit in Sofia.

Ambassadors Cormack and Wigemark commended the reform effort of the Council of Ministers of BIH, offering their full support to the Euro-Atlantic integrations of BIH.

The meetings exchange opinions on adoption of an Energy Sector Strategy and renewed Public Administration Reform Strategy. The discussed the ever increasing issue of illegal border crossings and migrant inflow to BIH. Chairman Zvizdić informed the Ambassadors that the Council of Ministers of BIH has already reacted and required the competent institutions to get engaged in the migrant issue-solving, in compliance with their competencies and capabilities.
