Zvizdić with COWEB Representatives: European Commission Opinion Turns EU Focus Back on BIH

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić talked in Sarajevo with a Work Group for Western Balkans (COWEB), informing them of the current political situation in BIH and implementation of the European aims of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

He said that the European Commission Opinion represents an important step forward in the European integrations process of BIH, as well as that the expected candidate status would be the best message and incitement for implementation of additional reforms and recommendations under the EC Opinion.

Chairman Zvizdić clearly pointed at the EU integrations as one of two most important foreign policy aims of BIH, and that the Council of Ministers of BIH will continue working at realisation of tasks referred to in the European Commissions Opinion.

In their address, the COWEB representatives emphasised that BIH has made a progress and that due to that fact it got the Opinion of the European Commission, which turns back the focus of the European Union to BIH. They said that the Western Balkans prospects represent a huge potential for the European Union, adding that the European Commission Opinion is a clear indicator that Europe wants to see BIH at the enlargement agenda.

Chairman Zvizdić tanked to Romanian representatives for preserving the enlargement prospects to Western Balkans and for the successful and high quality chairing over the European Union.

He congratulated to Finland for taking over the chairing of the European Union and expressed his expectations about opening of new positive prospects for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
