The State Service Committee for Appeals

The State Service Committee for Appeals (hereinafter: the Committee), as a permanent body of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was established by the Decision on the establishment of the Committee adopted by the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina", number: 16/02 and 1/04).

The competences of the Committee are prescribed by the Law on Civil Service in BiH Institutions.

Pursuant to Article 63 of the Law on Civil Service in the Institutions of BiH, the Committee is responsible for considering all final decisions, undertaken and missed actions of the institution and/or the BiH Civil Service Agency, which relate to the status of civil servants and upon request:

a) The civil servant to whom the disputed decision, undertaken or omitted action refers,

b) Institutions where the official performs his duties,

c) BiH civil service agencies.

The committee consists of three members appointed by the BiH Council of Ministers. In accordance with the Law and the Committee's Rules of Procedure, the Committee works in Council sessions, and the Committee's decisions are made by consensus of all Committee members.
